Job Objective
Reporting to the Treasury Supervisor, the Treasury Assistant is responsible for ensuring efficient day-to-day treasury operations, with a strong focus on managing and maintaining relationships with banking partners. The role supports fund management, reconciliations, and banking transactions to ensure financial stability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Bank Relations & Coordination
- Serve as the main liaison between the company and its partner banks
- Monitor bank transactions and ensure proper and timely documentation
- Coordinate with bank representatives regarding concerns such as fund transfers, account openings/closures, interest rates, and facility arrangements
- Assist in the review and negotiation of banking terms and services
Cash & Fund Management
- Assist in daily monitoring of cash positions across multiple bank accounts
- Ensure timely fund transfers between accounts to support operations
- Prepare and submit cash position reports to management
- Assist in short-term investment placement monitoring and fund allocation
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain complete and up-to-date records of bank transactions, correspondence, and bank account documentation
- Support the Treasury team in the preparation of treasury-related reports such as cash flow forecasts and treasury dashboards
- Coordinate documentation requirements for audits or internal reviews
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies and external banking regulations
- Support internal process improvement initiatives related to treasury and banking operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related course
- At least 1 year of experience in Treasury, Finance, or Accounting-related roles
- Prior exposure to bank coordination or treasury operations preferred
- Strong attention to detail, good analytical skills, and ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP or accounting systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially when liaising with external stakeholders
