Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic laws, and the ability to handle various types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers and tankers. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive trucks safely over long distances to deliver goods.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Follow designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status.
- Manage paperwork related to deliveries, including bills of lading and receipts.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driving license (CDL).
- Experience with route driving, load unloading, and operating forklifts is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in truck driving.
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
