- Operate the truck scale for tare weighing and gross weighing of cargo trucks.
- Check all components of the weigh scale system to ascertain all are working in order.
- Observe operation to detect equipment malfunction and inform supervisor when malfunction occurs.
- Assist in performing key starting instructions on command printer as necessary.
- Operate traffic control devices to allow cargo trucks to proceed to tipping area and exit from the facility.
- Issue truck scale tickets to drivers/helpers and collect tickets.
- Log weighing transactions.
- Monitor repair and calibration activities for the truck scale
Qualifications
- College Level
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and in writing
- Computer literate
