The Warehouse Custodian is responsible for ensuring the proper receiving, handling, safekeeping, and releasing of cargo and freight items in compliance with company procedures. This role plays a critical part in maintaining cargo accuracy, physical inventory integrity, and smooth day-to-day operations of Boss Cargo Express Freight Services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming cargo shipments based on company protocols.
- Tag, sort, and properly store cargo items in designated areas.
- Monitor and record the condition and quantity of all items handled.
- Secure cargo storage areas and ensure all packages are accounted for and protected from damage or loss.
- Prepare cargo for release or dispatch, ensuring accuracy of waybills and delivery receipts.
- Coordinate with the documentation team, dispatchers, and warehouse staff for cargo movement and verification.
- Maintain accurate and updated cargo inventory records and reports.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or irregularities in cargo handling to the Cargo Supervisor.
- Ensure cargo handling is compliant with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of cargo areas
QUALIFICATIONS:
- ·With at least 1–2 years of experience in cargo handling, warehousing, or logistics operations.
- Knowledge of cargo documentation, waybills, and inventory handling.
- Physically fit; able to lift and move packages weighing up to 25 kg.
- Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, or holidays.
