Warehouse Supervisor
Major Function
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations across inbound, outbound, inventory, and general logistics functions. This role ensures smooth execution of warehouse activities—including receiving, storage, picking, loading, dispatch, and cycle counts—while maintaining accuracy, safety, compliance, and efficiency. The position drives team performance, enforces standard operating procedures (SOPs), and delivers operational scorecards that align with Fast Logistics’ vision, mission, and values.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations (inbound, outbound, inventory control, staging, and issuance) to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Monitor compliance with SOPs, First-In-First-Out (FIFO) and First-to-Expire-First-Out (FEFO) policies, and customer-specific requirements.
- Ensure zero tolerance for stock discrepancies, damages, and losses through strict execution of control measures.
2. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Oversee the accurate and timely generation of Warehouse Operations Scorecards, maintaining performance ratings aligned with KPIs.
- Validate documentation, transaction accuracy, and reporting in coordination with cross-functional teams and clients.
3. Facility & Asset Readiness
- Ensure warehouse readiness in terms of storage capacity, equipment availability, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
- Enforce preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and disruption of operations.
4. Compliance & Safety
- Implement and monitor adherence to health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards across all shifts.
- Enforce strict compliance with company protocols, government regulations, and client requirements.
5. Inventory Control
- Supervise cycle counts, spot checks, and reconciliation activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Oversee proper handling and disposal of bad orders, returns, and damaged goods in compliance with SOPs.
6. People Management
- Lead and motivate warehouse personnel through task allocation, performance monitoring, and coaching.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, enforce accountability, and promote teamwork and discipline.
- Support employee development through training, skills enhancement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Identify gaps in warehouse processes and recommend improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize turnaround time.
- Participate in company-driven initiatives, trainings, and operational improvement projects and cascade learnings to the warehouse team.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Operational Accuracy – ≥ 95% order accuracy, zero tolerance for major errors.
- Timeliness – 100% adherence to cut-off schedules (inbound receiving, outbound dispatch, IRA execution).
- Inventory Accuracy – ≥ 99% accuracy in cycle counts and reconciliations.
- Safety & Compliance – Zero lost-time accidents, 100% compliance to SOPs and HSSE standards.
- Team Performance – Achievement of KPI targets through effective coaching and supervision.
