Job Summary:
The Warehouse Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse. This role ensures proper storage, handling, and movement of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies, maintaining compliance with company standards and safety regulations. The Warehouse Leader supervises warehouse personnel, coordinates with production teams, and ensures timely delivery of materials to support uninterrupted operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
- Manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
- Monitor material movements to and from the production floor to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and segregation of materials to maintain quality and traceability.
Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the system (manual or ERP).
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with purchasing for replenishment.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and guide warehouse staff to achieve operational targets.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance of warehouse personnel.
- Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability within the team.
Coordination and Communication:
- Work closely with Production, Quality Control, and Logistics teams to meet production schedules.
- Coordinate with dispatch for on-time delivery of finished goods to customers.
- Communicate any material shortages, damage, or discrepancies promptly.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to 5S, safety regulations, and company policies in the warehouse area.
- Implement and monitor proper handling of materials to prevent damage or contamination.
- Prepare and submit required reports (inventory, material movement, stock status) on time.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse processes.
- Familiarity with plastic injection molding raw materials and finished goods handling is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office and warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Inventory accuracy rate (target: 98–100%)
- On-time material issuance and delivery to production (target: 100%)
- Reduction in material damage and discrepancies (target: ≤2% monthly)
- Compliance with safety and 5S standards (target: 100%)
