JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
· Involved primarily in carrying out welding work on an assembly line.
Performs must be in accordance with safety and quality guidelines
· The welder may be required to assist in setting up or adjusting necessary equipment, such as shielded and electric arc welders, as well as choosing the correct filter rods and torch tips for the job, when these are needed.
· Need to degrease the materials to be welded and make appropriate measurements to ensure that materials fit the specifications.
· Welding and trimming, welders often engage in soldering and grinding materials
· For this task they use a range of equipment, including bending machines and shears in addition to flame cutting equipment.
· Welder may be asked to work from a particular design.
· Designs will have written specifications, indicating how the metal should be cut or shaped, and the welder will use his tools to follow the design.
· The welder will be expected to work with her team to diagnose and find a solution to any problems.
· Repair Equipment Damaged.
