- Supervise and support daily, monthly, and year-end accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate close processes.
- Perform detailed review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements prepared by senior accountants.
- Lead accounting for complex areas including claims-based revenue recognition, multi-entity consolidations, intercompany eliminations, payroll accounting, external debt, prepaids, accruals, and lease accounting under ASC 842.
- Maintain a high standard of documentation, accuracy, and compliance with internal controls and GAAP.
- Provide oversight and mentorship to junior team members, promoting continuous improvement and accountability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Payroll, HR, Revenue Cycle Management, Facilities, Marketing, and Operations to ensure financial integrity.
- Manage system workflows and reporting in Sage Intacct, including dimensions, allocations, intercompany entries, and custom reports.
- Assist in preparing schedules and supporting documentation for external audits and lender compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or team lead responsibilities.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Sage Intacct is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas) along with the Google Workspace suite of tools (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience utilizing Workday (payroll & HR)
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842).
- Experience in healthcare, claims-based billing, or similarly complex revenue environments is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage and review the work of others with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

- Experience in multi-entity or consolidated financial reporting environments.
- Prior involvement in ERP implementations or optimization projects, especially within Sage Intacct.
- Availability for substantial overlap with U.S. Eastern Standard time (5-6 hours/day minimum preferred).
