Position Title:
Accounts Officer – Payables & Receivables (Australian Accounting Background)
Work Setup: Onsite – Angeles City, Pampanga
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Philippine Time)
Salary: Competitive and Negotiable (Based on Experience)
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Officer with a strong background in Australian accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting Australian-based clients. This is a full-time, onsite role in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and issue invoices based on contracts, job completions, or milestones
- Monitor overdue accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
- Record and apply payments accurately using accounting systems (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
- Prepare AR aging reports weekly and monthly
- Liaise directly with Australian clients regarding billing concerns and payment issues
Accounts Payable:
- Review, process, and record vendor invoices and credit notes
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Schedule and process payments via EFT, BPAY, and other methods
- Maintain vendor profiles and ensure ATO compliance for documentation
General Accounting Support:
- Assist in the preparation of BAS, GST, and PAYG in collaboration with the accounting team
- Contribute to month-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals
- Keep financial records organized and audit-ready
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams for financial compliance and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in AP/AR or similar roles, preferably for Australian clients
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting practices including BAS, GST, PAYG, and ATO compliance
- Proficient in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Preferred Experience:
- BPO or outsourcing industry experience supporting AU clients
- Exposure to general ledger and financial reporting
- Familiarity with Australian payroll and tax obligations is a plus
