Where You’ll Be
JEG Tower, Archbishop Reyes, Corner Acacia St., Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City, 6000 Cebu Your Role as Assistant Accountant
As an Assistant Accountant you’ll work closely with our client’s Operations Assistant and Financial Controller, owning the AP/AR, reconciliation, and finance admin functions. This is a hands-on role for someone with a process improvement mindset who loves accuracy and timely results. Your work will directly support smarter business decisions and smoother operations.
Key Responsibilities::
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage finance emails and respond to queries
- Prepare AP drafts and process payments
- Extract AR reports and follow up on overdue invoices
- Raise invoices via Ariba, Legal Tracker, Serengetti, CounselGo, and Coupa
- Clear credit card transactions and receipts in Xero
- Support month-end data and report updates
- Set up new employees in Xero
- Track credit card spending
- Maintain PAYG, VAT, and internal control documentation
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- Solid time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong communication skills for working with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Proactive, tech-savvy, and comfortable using digital tools and accounting systems
- Meticulous attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset
- Prior experience in accounting roles is a plus
- Familiarity with Xero and similar tools is advantageous
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
- Adaptable, coachable, and dependable, someone who takes initiative and delivers results
