JOB SUMMARY
The Bookkeeper is responsible for the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, playing a vital role in supporting the accounting team. This role involves handling daily financial operations, maintaining meticulous records, and assisting with the preparation of reports. The Bookkeeper will also handle inventory tracking, sales data monitoring, and support audit processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inventory Management
- Review inventory forms for accuracy and track product quantities, including production data.
- Monitor inventory of raw restaurant ingredients and non-food supplies.
- Ensure timely replenishment of supplies and maintain proper warehouse organization.
2. Costing & Expense Management
- Collect and verify receipts and supporting documents for all transactions (e.g., purchasing, restocking, travel liquidations).
- Ensure that liquidations of previous purchases are completed before processing new purchase requests.
- Accurately record and document expenses in compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Record journal entries for accounts payable and cash budget transactions.
- Provide costing data to support pricing strategies and profitability analysis.
3. Purchasing & Quality Coordination
- Coordinate with suppliers for purchasing requirements.
- Seek approval from the Chef for alternative ingredients when preferred items are unavailable.
- Request budgets for procurement and submit purchase orders to the designated approver.
4. Cross-Departmental Support
- Prepare and compute deductions related to employee breakages and other applicable charges for payroll processing and coordinate with the HR team to ensure accurate reflection of deductions in employee pay slips.
- Provide administrative assistance to the Accounts & Finance department.
- Maintain orderly filing systems for financial documents and reports.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Licenses/Certifications/Trainings:
Certification in Accounting (e.g., CPA or other related certifications) is a plus.
Prerequisites for the Job:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a fast-paced office environment.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and financial management practices is essential.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data and transactions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with a solid understanding of accounting software.
