Business Development (Manufacturing & Automotive Accounts)
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:
- Manage and develop long-term relationships with key manufacturing and automotive clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and targeted new clients.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive sales growth and market share.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and new opportunities.
- Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and close deals in line with company objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, logistics) to ensure successful delivery of products/services.
- Account Strategy & Planning:
- Understand customer requirements and industry trends to offer tailored solutions.
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and reports for management review.
- Coordinate with technical and product teams to align solutions with customer needs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in account management and business development.
- Proven experience handling manufacturing and/or automotive industry clients.
- Strong background in B2B sales or industrial sales.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to understand technical products and processes.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office.
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
- Preferred:
- Experience with OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers.
- Knowledge of supply chain or production systems in manufacturing.
- Understanding of ISO standards and quality management systems (QMS).
