Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in cost control, project engineering, or quantity surveying.
- Proficient in MS Excel and cost tracking software/tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with construction materials, labor cost structures, and project execution methods.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willing to work on-site and conduct field validations as necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control actual project costs vs. budgeted costs on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
- Analyze material usage, labor productivity, and equipment utilization for cost optimization.
- Implement value engineering strategies to reduce costs without affecting performance or quality.
- Assist in preparing and updating the cost baseline, budget forecasts, and cash flow reports.
- Identify potential cost overruns early and provide solutions to prevent escalation.
- Coordinate with Procurement to track material orders, deliveries, and consumption.
- Work closely with the Cost Estimator to validate BOQs and price assumptions.
- Participate in progress meetings and provide reports on cost performance.
- Assist in verifying and validating change orders, variations, and their impact on cost.
- Provide cost feedback to management for continuous improvement in pricing future projects.
- Maintain cost tracking tools and records, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Performs other task as may be needed. Monitors and controls project costs to prevent overruns, ensure budget compliance, and implement value engineering during execution.
