POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is located in the PH. The Customer Quality Manager is responsible to drive the customer quality, satisfaction and retention using multiple quality processes and tools for a major OEM customer. This roles is responsible for verifying and validating customer requirements to the product, resolving factory customer quality issues and to drive overall product quality improvements. Responsibilities also include negotiations on business critical matters by coordinating input with cross functional teams and driving solutions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates sorting & rework activities at local 3rd parties considering speed, quality, cost.
- Leads the quality relationship with a major OEM customer
- Drives continuous product and test improvement by working with factory teams
- Communicates volume manufacturing quality performance, associated pareto and CIP with respect to the customer requirements – drives product pareto improvement
- Works with Account teams to interpret and drive customer quality product and process requirements
- Coordinates all other plans between teams to resolve product quality, reliability and performance issues in the factory
- Coordinates with other departments failure analysis reports, data analysis, corrective action, root cause analysis, and quality performance reports.
- Interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions involve controversial situations, customer negotiations, and/or influencing and persuading other senior level managers
- Initiates 8D root cause analysis & corrective actions, and insures timely closure of actions.
- Leads, supports or hosts (as necessary) customer audits, surveys and similar activities
- Responsible for managing customer product tactical details around pareto, CAPA, voice of customer, customer scorecard and working cross-functionally to drive improvement for the customer’s product(s)
- Reviews Engineering Change Requests for customer approval requirements and submission (PCN)
- Escalates issues internally as necessary and negotiates across functions to ensure appropriate resources. Helps manage the escalation process internal to AE.
- Drives continuous improvement associated with SPC
- Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Mostly standard office environment, sometimes noisy & busy manufacturing areas / labs, and clean-room environment.
- AE is a highly dynamic, technically challenging, and fast-paced work place.
- May need to travel, up to 10-20% of the time (domestic and/or international).

- Understands test criteria, associated results and opportunities for improvement
EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
· 5 years of technical leadership experience
· 8-10 years of experience in technical or quality management
· Experienced with working in a fast paced, manufacturing environment
· Experienced in plasma, data center, industrial, and medical industries or working with those customers
· Experienced in working with a global team
Desirable:
· Experienced with manufacturing quality or product quality or product design management
· Experienced with manufacturing quality or product quality management
· Experienced working with field service teams
· Knowledgeable of SPC, Variation Control, and MSA or GR&R techniques
· Knowledgeable of 8D & Root Cause Analysis Metodologies
· Ability to utilize quality / lean tools in analyzing, solving, and discussing problems—e.g. histograms, run charts, control charts, parteto charts, etc.
· Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems and copy exactly requirements
EDUCATION:
Essential:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering / Science
Desirable:
· Advanced Degree in Engineering / Science
· MBA
· Fluent in Japanese
