SPECIFIC FUNCTION/S
1. Cylinder Asset & Liability Accounting
· Record acquisitions, retirements, write-offs, and revalidations of cylinders.
· Maintain updated records of cylinder deposits (customer/dealer liabilities).
· Ensure alignment between General Ledger and cylinder inventory systems/work sheets.
2. Reconciliation & Monitoring
· Oversees monthly reconciliation of physical cylinder counts vs. book balances, with the help of the Plant Accountants.
· Monitor cylinder flows: filled, empty, scrapped, requalified, swapped.
· Investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolution with plant accountants and operations and metal management teams.
3. Reporting
· Prepare monthly Cylinder Movement Reports (per plant, per dealer/retailer).
· Submit a consolidated Cylinder Asset Reconciliation Report to Controller.
· Highlight trends in losses, damages, and recovery rates.
OPERATING NETWORK/INTERACTION

1. Work with Operations, and Metal Management to align actual plant inventory with accounting records.
2. Support Sales & Distribution in monitoring dealer/retailer cylinder accountabilities.
Partner with Treasury to reconcile cylinder deposit collections and refunds.
KEY RESULTS AREA/S
1. Zero unexplained discrepancies in cylinder balances.
2. Timely submission of reconciliation reports.
3. Minimal unaccounted-for losses in cylinder inventory.
4. Compliance with audit requirements.
PRIMARY ROLE AND PURPOSE
To ensure accurate accounting, monitoring, and reconciliation of LPG cylinders as company-owned assets circulating in the market.
This role safeguards the integrity of cylinder balances by coordinating with Plants Operations, Metal Management, Sales Team, and Plant Accountants to minimize losses, damages, and discrepancies.
