Position Overview:
The Demand Planner is under the Inventory section and will be reporting directly to Inventory Supervisor.
Job Summary:
The Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting products, supplies & packaging demand to ensure that a company’s supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently. This role involves analyzing sales trends, market indicators, and historical data to create accurate demand forecasts. The planner collaborates with sales, marketing and operations to align demand with inventory and production plans, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical tools and software.
2. Analyze historical sales trends, market data, seasonality, and promotional plans.
3. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure alignment.
4. Lead monthly demand review meetings to review and validate forecasts.
5. Monitor forecast accuracy and take corrective action to improve performance.
6. Track and manage replenishment need for both stores and remote warehouses.
7. Conduct regular reviews of inventory levels to ensure products, supplies and packaging availability and optimal stock levels.
8. Communicate forecast changes to relevant departments and adjust planning accordingly.
9. Create and maintain reports and dashboards for demand trends and KPIs.
10. Support new product introductions by forecasting initial demand and life cycle planning.
11. Collaborate with procurement to align forecasts with supplies and packaging supply requirements.
12. Anticipate demand for critical packaging materials, ensuring alignment with product launch schedules and seasonal peaks.
13. Identify potential risks in products, supplies and packaging supply or stock outs and implement mitigation plans.
14. Maintain data integrity in planning systems.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or Industrial Engineering.
2. 2–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management in a fast-moving, high-volume industry.
3. Proven experience supporting e-commerce or omnichannel retail operations is highly valued.
4. Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling.
5. Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) and marketplace data (e.g., Amazon, Lazada, Shopee).
6. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable forecasts.
7. Knowledge of statistical forecasting models and demand pattern analysis (seasonality, trend, promotional lift).
8. Ability to use real-time sales data, digital metrics, and inventory signals to adjust forecasts dynamically.
9. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills – able to work with Sales, Marketing and Operations.
10. Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights to non-technical teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php23,000.00 per month
