The Educational Research Analyst will play a critical role in collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing educational data to support research studies and evaluations. The analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to generate actionable insights, maintain data integrity, and deliver high-quality research outputs aligned with LearningMate’s standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to determine appropriate research methodologies based on project design and objectives.
- Collect, document, and organize various data sources, including district data and internal product data, for analysis.
- Extract and clean student performance and usage data from Imagine Learning systems and other internal tools.
- Process district-level datasets (e.g., demographics, performance, and engagement metrics); document all cleaning procedures and provide a transparent audit trail of excluded or modified data
- Conduct data matching between external district data and Imagine Learning’s internal data systems; flag and document missing or inconsistent data.
- Perform statistical analyses to evaluate educational outcomes, usage patterns, and demographic trends.
- Summarize findings at an aggregate level and also segment results by specific student populations, grades, or other relevant factors.
- Create clear, effective, and visually compelling data visualizations that follow Imagine Learning’s and LearningMate’s brand and style guidelines.
- Develop and maintain timelines for analysis activities to ensure timely delivery of research outputs.
- Present research findings to clients and internal stakeholders, translating technical insights into actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with the manager to review data cleaning processes and interim findings before finalizing visualizations and reports.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, Statistics, Psychology, Data Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in educational research, data analysis, or a similar role.
- Experience working with large educational datasets is highly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, or SAS).
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of research methodologies and data cleaning processes.
- Ability to synthesize and communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with K–12 student performance and usage data.
- Prior experience in an EdTech or research-focused organization.
- Familiarity with Imagine Learning systems is a plus
