Position Summary
DIS Tech is looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Manager to serve as a senior individual contributor. This position does not involve direct people management but carries a high level of responsibility in the end-to-end accounting to reporting processes, cashflow management, budget management, and compliance with statutory requirements.
You will play a key role in maintaining internal controls, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across multiple entities. Lastly, the role is expected to be involved heavily in giving financial updates of the company and its affiliates to the Global Management.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting to Reporting
- Support month-end closing activities, which includes but not limited to preparation, review and posting of journal entries, preparation of account reconciliations, review of GL accounts and trial balance, and etc.
- Monitor the intercompany transactions (I/C) and ensures correct eliminations are done for I/C transactions between affiliates
- Ensure proper calculation and accounting of ROU assets, intercompany transactions, and various reserve calculations (e.g., bad debt, warranty, and inventory).
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements of the company and its affiliates, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with US GAAP / IFRS.
- Handle the Receivable processes including customer invoicing up to collection
- Handle the Payable processes including processing vendor payments (electronically or manual checks), review and approval of credit card transactions and reimbursements on Bill.com)
- Oversee maintenance of internal control and financial compliance including ensuring that financial transactions are processed and approved following the agreed approval matrix
- Assist on finance-related inquiries from functions such as use of GL codes, interpretation of finance policies, etc.
- Identify process improvement opportunities in financial reporting and compliance practices and support implementation.
- Coordinate with audit teams (internal and external) for both statutory and group audits, including data preparation and process walkthroughs
- Collaborate with regional and global teams for finance-related updates or discussions (e.g., Malaysia, Taiwan, and the US).
Cashflow Management
- Ensure sufficiency of cash for operations by performing regular cash forecasts and loan monitoring
- Evaluate and secure funding sources (e.g., loans, credit lines).
- Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Budget Management
- Drive the annual budgeting process for the company and its affiliates
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis
- Provide timely budget reports to the Management
Regulatory & Compliance
- Prepare schedules needed for tax filings (e.g. income tax), reviews and approves tax calculations prepared by consultants
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as approval and filing of tax returns, annual beneficial ownership, government surveys, and etc.
- Monitor compliance with government regulations as to registration and/or retirement of offices/sites
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit, ideally in a global or regional finance environment.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, with experience in handling multi-currency and multi-entity reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or support regional close cycles, audits, and cross-border financial coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact confidently across finance, operations, and senior leadership.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
