The Finance and Treasury Officer is responsible for the preparation and payment of accounts and claims that result in the efficient and effective payment for goods and services received. This role will be required to assist with processing of invoices and claims for payment for goods and services received, control of creditor accounts, preparation and data entry of accounts for payment. This role is also responsible for monitoring bank passbooks and cleared checks, receiving and depositing collections daily, preparing BIR 2307, releasing expense reimbursements and check payments to suppliers, preparing Petty Cash Fund for replenishment, withdrawing cash for Petty Cash Fund, keeping of records of postdated and unreleased checks and deposit slips and transmitting documents to other branches.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages written records regarding the petty cash transaction, including, but not limited to: 1) a completed petty cash voucher slip (with signatures); 2) details regarding the transaction of expenses 3) a detailed cash register receipt or invoice or official receipt.
- Administers the process of reimbursing employees for small expenditures incurred in connection with approved company activities
- Manages petty cash and replenishes all expenses thrice a week or as needed to maintain enough cash funds
- Schedules invoices for payment within a given framework of prescribed due dates and maximizes discounts and minimizes interest charges
- Reconciles financial data for the purpose of maintaining accurate account balances and ensuring compliance with established accounting practices
- Processes payments preparation from funds and issuance of checks for the purpose of making payments, responsible for the production of weekly check runs to pay the bills incurred
- Maintains and updates the journal voucher; ensuring that proper entry is made upon entering into the system
- Communicates with suppliers and internal clients in both official languages to obtain information and clarify/resolve issues or concerns about billing and invoices
- Receives collection from Credit & Collection, ensuring correctness and validity of the cash and checks remitted by Sales people; checking and comparing the Official Receipt with collection remittal
- Establish procedures for custody of control company assets records
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting
- At least 2 - 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Willing to report to SCPA Naga Office
