Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect deliveries for quantity, quality, and accuracy
- Record and update inventory data using inventory sheets or software
- Organize and label items in cold storage, freezers, and dry storage areas
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when items need replenishing
- Enforce First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices to minimize waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to issue items as needed for daily operations
- Report damaged or expired stock to supervisors
- Assist with monthly or quarterly audits as required
