Main Responsibilities:
1. Certificate Lifecycle Management
- Request, issue, renew, and revoke digital certificates.
- Track certificate expiration dates and ensure timely renewals.
- Maintain an inventory of all certificates in use.
2. Security and Compliance
- Enforce certificate policies and standards (e.g., key length, validity period).
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Monitor for certificate misuse or compromise.
3. PKI Infrastructure Management
- Manage internal Certificate Authorities (CAs) and subordinate CAs.
- Configure and maintain OCSP responders and CRL distribution points.
- Ensure high availability and security of PKI components.
4. Incident Response
- Respond to certificate-related incidents (e.g., expired or compromised certificates).
- Revoke and reissue certificates as needed during security events.
5. Collaboration and Support
- Work with DevOps, IT, and application teams to integrate certificates into systems.
- Provide guidance on certificate best practices and secure configurations.
6. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain documentation of certificate policies, procedures, and inventories.
- Generate reports on certificate usage, compliance, and risk.
Technical and behavior abilities:
1. Have at least 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in managing internal and external certificates.
2. Have at least 2 years of experience on any of the Certificate Authority – Digicert (preferred), Gandi or Global sign.
3. Preferably have at least 1-2 years in a multi-national company managing more than 1000 certificates.
