Kitchen Steward/Washer is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of a kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and assisting with food preparation. They ensure the kitchen and surrounding areas are tidy, organized, and meet hygiene standards. This role is crucial for a smooth kitchen operation, supporting both the back-of-house and front-of-house staff.
- Dishwashing:Washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment using dishwashers and by hand.
- Cleaning:Cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment, including stoves, ovens, grills, and refrigerators.
- Sanitation:Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment by adhering to hygiene standards and safety procedures.
- Waste Management:Properly disposing of kitchen waste and recyclables.
- Restocking:Ensuring adequate supplies of cleaning materials, dishwashing detergents, and other kitchen essentials.
- Assisting Kitchen Staff:Helping with basic food preparation tasks like vegetable peeling, blending soups, and assisting with deliveries.
- Equipment Maintenance:Monitoring and reporting any issues with kitchen equipment, such as dishwashers or cleaning tools.
- Following Instructions:Adhering to established cleaning schedules and выполнять other duties as assigned by supervisors.
