Job Summary:
We're seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to lead our purchasing activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You'll play a key role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet business needs
- Conduct market research, analyze prices, and identify best-value suppliers
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers
- Manage tendering processes, ensuring transparency and compliance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and databases
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and build effective relationships
- Familiarity with procurement regulations and standards
- Proficiency in procurement software and systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with contract management and negotiation
- Knowledge of industry-specific procurement practices
