Job Description
Responsible for the planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle which includes defining the product vision, designing the requirements, prioritizing the features/capabilities to be offered, and launching the product. S/He leads the new product development projects and the continuous improvement of its features and services. S/he must manage the roadmap and ensure that the product supports Globe’s overall strategy and goals. S/he must manage the budget (CAPEX/OPEX) as well. The Product Manager works closely with Marketing, Sales, Business Operations, and Aftersales team to ensure revenue, customer support, and customer satisfaction goals are met.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Highly knowledgeable in APIs as a product
- Drives the end-to-end delivery of initiatives under different products/services
- Ensures that the product is delivered timely based on the product specifications
- Work with relevant product managers and project managers to oversee all approved projects for own portfolio, ensuring that projects deliver the required features and benefits outlined in the business case on time and on budget and actively managing risks/issues that may occur to minimize their impact
- Act as the ‘product champion’ internally, providing support and training to necessary proponents through internal briefings, responding to ad-hoc queries and tenders and ensuring that accurate product information is maintained (e.g. detailed product decks, features & benefits analysis, product manuals, user stories, etc.)
- Integrate feedback from stakeholders into product design and enhancements
- Ensures that products delivered are operationalized
- Ensures that the project milestones are met adhering to the approved budget and timeline
- Own the process for prioritizing defect fixes and small product enhancements to ensure that a good balance is achieved and that customer reported defects are assigned a suitable priority to maximize customer satisfaction
- Review relevant user documentation and ensure that all changes to products are communicated clearly and fully to both internal and external customers to minimize queries raised
- Manage product quality and cost: Identify opportunities for cost reductions and quality improvements, integrate customer feedback into product design and enhancements, work with operations to improve overall product quality
- Aligns with other product houses on a regular basis to ensure alignment of products being developed
- Execute programs across applicable delivery platforms in coordination with software delivery teams and platform managers.
- Monitor the status of development projects supporting new features
REQUIREMENTS
- 10-15 years in product development or product management experience; preferably in Telco, Internet, or Software Development industry
- With technical knowledge; internet or tech savvy
- Experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment
- Experience in leading a team
- Functional Competencies: Product Strategy Formulation, Product Portfolio Management - Product Development, Product Financial Management, Resource Planning, Market Research and Analytics, Telecommunications, Business Analysis and Project Management
- Graduate of a 4-year course in Business Management, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent
