Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Biology, Microbiology, Food Technology, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- 2-3 years work experience as Quality Assurance/Laboratory Head
- At least 1 year experience in a Food manufacturing company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reports to the QA Head.
- Immediate superior of PM Analyst, Raw Material Sampler, Laboratory Helper, and Laboratory Encoder.
- Responsible for the quality control at production.
- Oversees lifting of samples for laboratory.
- Handles consumer, trade/DC complaints and coordinates with production to analyze causes and recommends corrective actions.
- Handles other functions in cases of manpower displacement or absences of subordinate.
- Perform pathogen monitoring results of finished goods (FG) line samples, environmental samples testing analysis, comparative analysis of the plant and other facilities. Includes monthly QA report to main facility.
- Performs sensory evaluation in mixed products and finished goods.
- Reports to immediate superior any deviations from the standard procedures and adopts necessary corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Prepares Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and implements the Clients Quality Systems (NQS) at all times.
- Evaluates and conducts appraisal of all subordinates and recommends further training, if necessary and or disciplinary actions.
- Works in accordinance with accepted safety practices and standards set by the company.
- Keeps Plant Head informed of all quality deviations and participates in corrective action as required.
- Ensures that the product, working conditions and work processes are consistent and within the quality standards of the client.
