Responsibilities
- Attend bidding activities to provide cost inputs, quantity estimates, and technical clarifications.
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications for estimation and project budgeting.
- Prepare written cost analysis reports based on collected data and trends.
- Conduct market research on materials, labor rates, and construction methods to support accurate costing.
- Monitor and analyze project expenses related to materials procurement and subcontractor billings.
- Assist in evaluating cost variations and support change order reviews.
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and finance teams to ensure cost alignment across departments.
- Maintain and update a cost database for future project reference and benchmarking.
- Participate in cost control meetings and submit regular cost tracking reports.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in construction cost engineering or estimation.
- Proficient in quantity surveying and cost estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, MS Excel).
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
