Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Chemistry Teacher to deliver the IB Chemistry curriculum, fostering inquiry, critical thinking, and international-mindedness. You will guide students through conceptual understanding and practical investigations, supporting their holistic development in line with IB principles.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and apply curriculum standards and principles of Chemistry.
- Design engaging, student-centered lesson plans using real-life analogies to foster interest and understanding.
- Adapt teaching methods to support differentiated learning and diverse student needs.
- Supervise laboratory sessions, guide practical assessments, and demonstrate experiments.
- Develop students’ experimental skills and use of current scientific technologies.
- Connect Chemistry concepts to real-world contexts through cross-curricular approaches.
- Promote critical thinking about ethical implications of science and technology in a global context.
- Encourage collaboration and communication during scientific activities.
- Plan inquiry-based lessons focused on conceptual understanding and informed by assessments.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching aids to enhance learning.
- Create and grade assessments, worksheets, and learning materials aligned with curriculum.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive learning environment promoting social and emotional development.
- Monitor and report student progress, identifying those needing additional support.
- Participate in school activities and collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices.
- Communicate effectively with parents and stakeholders regarding student development.
- Reflect on and pursue ongoing professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Graduate & bachelor's in education (Specialization in Chemistry)
- Preferred master's in chemistry with International Teaching Qualification / Certificate that qualifies for accreditation according to IB educational system.
- Fluent English Level: reading, writing, speaking; a professional command of the English language.
- Strong technology application skills.
- 3-5 years of Teaching experience
