Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Economics Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction. The successful candidate will engage students in developing a deep understanding of economic concepts, critical thinking, and global perspectives through inquiry-based learning. This role involves planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a supportive, stimulating learning environment that promotes IB values.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Economics aligned with school's curriculum frameworks.
- Facilitate student-centered learning, encouraging inquiry, analysis, and critical thinking.
- Design and implement assessments, providing timely feedback to support student growth.
- Utilize a variety of teaching resources, including digital tools and real-world economic data, to enhance learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
- Promote international-mindedness and global awareness consistent with IB philosophy.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators to foster a good student experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business, or related field
- Minimum three (3) years or more relevant full-time teaching experience as a qualified teacher.
- Teaching certification or license
- Experience teaching Economics in an IB environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment.
- Proficient in using educational technology and digital learning platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
