About the role
Orica is looking for a proactive and results-oriented Superintendent – Maintenance Planning to join our team at the Limay Manufacturing Site in Bataan. In this key role, you will oversee the development and execution of maintenance work plans and schedules that drive plant reliability and uptime. Your efforts will directly support the Product Line in achieving critical performance goals across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

What you will be doing
- Plan and schedule all maintenance activities—including online, offline, preventive, predictive, and corrective—ensuring all required inputs (materials, equipment, labor) are accounted for.
- Deliver weekly work schedules and packages that optimize resource efficiency and plant uptime within budget constraints.
- Coordinate shutdown preparations in collaboration with Product Line, Supply Chain & Planning, PMO, and Minor Projects, following the agreed staging process.
- Report on shutdown performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance future shutdown outcomes.
- Monitor and report work management KPIs, and collaborate with the Maintenance Execution Superintendent to review and improve performance.
- Maintain and continuously improve SAP task lists to support efficient work planning and execution.
- Manage SAP master data in accordance with Orica’s standards, ensuring all changes follow a defined Management of Change (MOC) process aligned with Reliability and Integrity requirements.
What you will bring
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Planner, with at least 6 years of relevant engineering and maintenance experience.
- Proven expertise and strong knowledge in maintenance planning practices.
- Proficient in SAP and/or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Continuous Improvement, and Lean Manufacturing is an advantage.
- Strong commitment to safety, with a high and unwavering regard for safe work practices.
