Accounting Manager

Role Description

Manages the general accounting functions of the company and the preparation of reports reflecting profits, cash balances and other financial results. Shall be responsible in formulation and administrations of approved accounting practices throughout the company to assure accuracy of financial reports to provide reliable information necessary to control operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and interpret complex financial statements, statistical reports, budgets and summaries
• Prepare budgeted financial statements for financial/ variance, trending and results analysis for balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement
• Reconcile and audit financial information by checking the subsidiary schedules for general ledger, interfacing with the external auditor and review the general ledger for unusual postings and transactions
• Check agent and banks reconciliation
• Review accounts payable vouchers for correctness/ accuracy of accounting entries
• Countercheck all replenishment of Manila Office (PCF/ RF) custodian coming from the Finance and Accounting Department
• Check accuracy of computation of production report and reconcile with the accounting report, resolve differences if any with the staff concern.
• Monitor and control operating expenses.
• Keep abreast with company directives and activities by attending departmental meeting
• Prepare payroll of Rank and File employees and computation of their 13th month pay
• Handle submission of reportorial requirement to BIR related to employees compensation and corresponding taxes
• Responsible for filing of corporate tax returns including tax calculations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accountancy
• At least 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting and general accounting, in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Hands-on experience on ERP Systems (Quickbooks)
• Freight forwarding or logistics background is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be analytical, keen to details, have a strong business mindset and leadership ability

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php45,000.00 - Php50,000.00 per month
