We are looking for a full-time Accounting Officer to join our team and help manage key finance functions such as reporting, reconciliation, government compliance, and project costing. This role involves close coordination with internal departments and government agencies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. The position requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports and journal vouchers
· File and track government contributions and remittances (SSS, PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG, BIR)
· Maintain internal control systems and assist in identifying areas for improvement
· Support monthly financial closings, audits, and project cost tracking
· Update the fixed asset lapsing schedule and assist in documentation for BIR/internal/external audits
· Engage in effective communication with various internal staff and external stakeholders
· Other Accounting and Finance tasks, reconciliations, and special projects that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- Must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
- At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience; knowledge in taxation is an advantage
- Experience with accounting software is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactiveness in handling issues and suggesting process improvements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
