As Accounts Receivable Officer you’ll own the full accounts receivable cycle: from daily banking to invoicing, collections, system uploads, reconciliations, and reporting. You’ll handle complex billing scenarios, collaborate with clients and internal teams, and support trust account transactions. You’ll also get to flex your Excel, NetSuite, and Proclaim while contributing to the financial wellbeing of a fast-moving Australian business.
What You’ll Be Doing::
Daily Operations & Payment Management
- Process and record incoming payments
- Manage trust account transactions and compliance
- Apply payments and credits in NetSuite
- Handle undeposited funds and unallocated payment uploads
- Create and distribute weekly, legal, and Proclaim invoices
- Handle amendments and cancellations
- Execute complex monthly billing: ACM recovery fees, towing, tolls, rebates, and commissions
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and secure payments
- Clear credits and maintain accurate client balances
- Prepare refunds, write-offs, and upload adjustments in NetSuite
- Upload payments and various invoices to NetSuite and Proclaim
- Maintain consistent, clean records across all platforms
- Support bank reconciliation for trust and current accounts
- Generate weekly Debtor Reconciliation reports
- Assist in monthly invoicing summaries and other client reports
- Handle recovery and legal email correspondence
- Jump in on ad hoc finance tasks when needed
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related field (or relevant diploma with practical experience)
- 2–4 years in an AR-focused role, ideally in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with trust accounting is a major plus
- Previous work in legal, insurance, or auto industries preferred
- Expert in NetSuite for invoicing and credits
- Proficient in Proclaim or similar systems
- Skilled in Xero for reconciliations
- Advanced Excel user for reporting and analysis
