Job description
The role of a showroom administrator in a furniture showroom involves managing various administrative tasks specific to the furniture retail environment.
Job Duties
1. Oversee inventory management within the showroom, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory audits, and coordinating with the warehouse or logistics team to restock items as needed. Ensure that the showroom floor is well-stocked with a variety of furniture pieces and accessories.
2. Assist the sales team by processing sales orders, generating invoices, and facilitating transactions at the point of sale. Provide product information, pricing details, and financing options to customers, and address any concerns or questions they may have during the purchasing process.
3. Perform various administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, scheduling deliveries, preparing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, sales transactions, and inventory levels.
4. Stay informed about the latest furniture trends, styles, and materials, as well as the features and specifications of the furniture collections available in the showroom. Attend product training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
5. Ensure that the showroom is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times. Coordinate with the cleaning staff to schedule regular cleaning and maintenance tasks, and address any maintenance issues or repairs as needed.
6. Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise in the showroom, such as customer complaints, inventory discrepancies, or operational inefficiencies, in a timely and effective manner.
7. Perform such other related duties and functions assigned and call as the exigencies of the services may require.
