Due to continued expansion and growth in our Operations Team, we currently have an exciting and challenging role available for a Accountant/Bookkeeper.
MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working as part of Market Lane Insurance Group you will directly contribute to the development, oversight, and ongoing management of the company’s insurance operations, processing, and administration function.
- This means working collaboratively with our Management, Claims and Underwriting teams, Broking Partners, Insurance Providers and external systems providers to assist in the maintenance and development of our end-to-end insurance administration function.
- Primary duties will include, but may not be limited to:
a) POLICY ADMINISTRATION
1. Creating Insurance Policy records and accurately entering all required policy details, premiums and taxes into the company’s Insurance Management System
2. Policy Closing (invoice) collection
3. Policy Closing (invoice) reconciliation
4. Production of monthly Insurance Policy statements / Bordereaux
5. Managing customer records/database
6. Ongoing Policy Management throughout the policy cycle
7. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to solve Policy queries
b) SYSTEMS, PROCESSES AND WORKFLOW DEVELOPMENT
1. Project development of IT systems and internal processes.
2. Contributing to how we continually improve our end-to-end systems and processes to drive excellent operational efficiencies.
3. Development of new processes and operational workflows
4. Business reporting and analytics
c) CLAIMS ADMINISTRATION
1. Supporting the claims team by conducting claim lodgments and sending claim acknowledgements
2. Utilising claims systems for record keeping, file notes and data entry
3. Handle inbound and outbound calls and providing outstanding customer service to our broking partners.
4. Sending payment remittances to broking partners
5. Conducting file reviews / follow ups to clients on behalf of the claims team
6. Business reporting and analytics
7. Any other administrative tasks as required by the claims team

1. Policy processing
2. Closing collection + reconciliation
3. Policy Endorsements and cancellations
4. Renewals
5. Bordereaux production
6. General administration underwriter support
- As required to work on new systems development projects, workflow processes and administration improvements
- To develop excellent internal working relationships, mutual respect, and trust
- To continue developing your technical insurance acumen
- To develop excellent external relationships with our broking partners
- To build rapport and outstanding working processes with insurer partners and our representatives
