Requirements
The Brand General Manager is responsible for driving the overall success of multiple categories, brands, or business units within LUXASIA. This strategic leadership role carries full accountability for revenue growth, profitability, operational excellence, and brand performance. The Brand General Manager will lead a diverse and high-performing team, develop and execute strategic plans, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure long-term business sustainability and market leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement holistic business strategies to drive growth and profitability across multiple categories and brands.
- Set and monitor overall sales, revenue, profitability, and operational targets, ensuring alignment with LUXASIA’s regional and corporate objectives.
- Lead annual business planning, including budget forecasting, cost management, and resource allocation.
- Conduct market analysis, consumer insights research, and competitive benchmarking to identify emerging trends and new opportunities.
2. Commercial & Operational Excellence
- Oversee the execution of marketing, sales, and distribution strategies to maximize business performance.
- Ensure optimal product availability, pricing, inventory management, and demand planning in collaboration with supply chain and commercial teams.
- Track and evaluate key business performance metrics, including sales trends, consumer behavior, and operational efficiency.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with marketing, retail, e-commerce, and commercial teams to enhance brand positioning and business execution.
3. Stakeholder & Principal Management
- Act as the key liaison with brand principals and business partners, ensuring strong alignment on business objectives, marketing initiatives, and market positioning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local and regional leadership, regulatory bodies, and key industry partners.
- Negotiate and manage commercial agreements and business contracts, securing sustainable partnerships that drive long-term success.
4. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, multi-brand team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Set clear performance goals and development plans for team members, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Drive strong communication and cross-functional teamwork, enabling efficiency and knowledge-sharing across teams and departments.
5. Financial & Business Performance Management
- Oversee P&L management, ensuring financial health and profitability across multiple categories and brands.
- Implement cost optimization strategies to maximize efficiency and return on investment (ROI) in marketing and commercial activities.
- Provide data-driven business insights and reports to senior management, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for growth.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in brand, category, or business management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the beauty, luxury, or retail industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field - an MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- Proven track record in P&L management, strategic planning, and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
