We are seeking a skilled and experienced Broiler Farm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in broiler farm management, a solid network within the industry, and a basic understanding of broiler health management. This role involves recruiting and managing contract growers, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of broiler farms to ensure optimal performance and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct regular farm visits to assess flock health and farm management practices, including cleaning, brooding, growing, maintenance, and harvesting.
· Recruit, qualify, and manage contract growers to expand the company’s network.
· Train farm personnel on best practices for broiler farming and ensure adherence to company guidelines.
· Perform basic necropsy and health assessments of broiler chickens.
· Submit regular reports on farm conditions, flock performance, and other relevant metrics to management.
· Implement and monitor company policies and procedures across assigned farms.
· Review and evaluate the effectiveness of medication and vaccination programs.
· Collaborate with the sales team by providing accurate forecasts and stock updates.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s/College Degree in Agriculture, majoring in Animal Science or related field (equivalent qualifications may be considered).
- License: Licensed Veterinarian is preferred, but not required.
- Location: Must be willing to travel extensively, primarily assigned to the Central and North Luzon region.
- Skills:
- Strong written communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in using computers and smartphones for work-related tasks.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Driving: Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a 4 wheel vehicle
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in Broiler Chicken Growing.
- Recruitment: Ability to recruit and manage contract growers.
