Job Title: Chef Instructor (Part Time)

Position Summary:
Joji Ilagan International Schools is looking for a passionate and experienced Chef Instructor to join our dynamic Culinary Arts team. The ideal candidate must hold an NC II in Cookery and be a TESDA-certified Assessor. As a Chef Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on, industry-relevant training to students, ensuring they gain the skills, discipline, and confidence required in professional kitchens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lectures and hands-on kitchen demonstrations aligned with the school's culinary curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools in accordance with TESDA and school standards.
- Guide and supervise students in practical kitchen sessions, ensuring food safety, hygiene, and professionalism at all times.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback and grades.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully equipped teaching kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with TESDA policies and industry standards in all training activities.
- Conduct assessments and facilitate TESDA-related certifications as a qualified Assessor.
- Participate in curriculum reviews, program development, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Mentor students for culinary competitions, internships, and industry placements.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to support student success and program excellence.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a National Certificate II (NC II) in Cookery.
- Must be a TESDA-accredited Assessor in Cookery.
- At least 2–3 years of professional culinary experience in a commercial kitchen or teaching environment.
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines, kitchen operations, and culinary techniques.
- Teaching or training experience in a culinary school or hospitality institution is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Passionate about culinary education and student development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred:
- Additional TESDA qualifications or certifications in other areas of food and beverage services.
- Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
- Competency in using educational technology or learning management systems (LMS).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php13,000.00 - Php15,000.00 per month
