JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the direct operational and administrative control over the contracted security personnel to ensure that the implementation of security systems and procedures are carried-out by the security service providers.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Inspects and corrects on the spot guarding deficiencies and checks manning at any given time within the prescribed security detail to maintain operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assumes overall duty officer's post for company wide security operations at night including Davao, Tagum, Digos, Gensan and Toril monitoring and control.
- Assigns guards for merchandise and cash transfers from point of origin to specific destination.
- Attends to security-related customers concerns and/or complaints.
- Investigates security-related incidents and collates any and all forms of evidence available to build strong case for prosecution.
- Conducts guard mounting, debriefing and briefing of all guards per shift or duty detail.
- Clears the store/warehouse of any risks or hazards by conducting thorough inspection to sanitize all areas prior to closing and opening for business operation.
- Directs the execution of contingency plans in case of security emergency to cushion its impact on the business operation of the company.
- Writes and submits security reports on any pure risk events/incidents with action taken and recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Evaluates pre-qualification requirements submitted by guard-applicant in accordance with Security Department's prescribed eligibility criteria for guard selection and hiring.
- Interviews, screens and checks background of security applicants and recommends approval or disapproval of application.
- Evaluates monthly performance of guards on the basis of the parameters prescribed for personnel action.
- Trains security guards according to training needs for asset protection to enhance guarding strategies, implementation of company policies, rules and regulations and to instill ethical standards in discharging guard functions.
- Orients security personnel to acquaint themselves with the newly promulgated company policies, guidelines, rules and regulations pertaining to security.
- Coaches and counsels performance shortfalls incurred by subordinates and recommends disciplinary sanction against erring personnel.
- Validates data or information reported by agency personnel prior to dissemination/endorsement thru proper channel of communication.
- Analyzes essential data or information obtained through overt and covert operations within and outside the company premises for significant intelligence value and submits intelligence reports with dispatch.
- Liases with law enforcement agencies and other government instrumentalities as well as private entities on matters pertaining to security.
- Elevates to proper authorities (i.e. PNP, NBI, Prosecutor's Office) appropriate criminal charges against any suspects and attends court hearings or judicial proceedings as the duly designated complainant-representative of the company.
- Develops monitoring system to counter-check accuracy of the contracted guards daily time records.
- Authenticates daily time record summary as basis for semi-monthly billing computation and service payment.
- Performs other related functions as may be required from time to time.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree preferrably in Protective Services & Management or equivalent.
- At least 6 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in Security/Armed Forces/Protective Services or equivalent.
- Computer literate.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Can carry-out or knowledgeable of security investigations and procedures.
- Knowledgeable of public safety and. security.
- Knowledgeable of customer and Personal service.
- Knowledgeable of laws, legal codes, court procedures, government regulations, agency rules, and the democratic political processes.
- Can deal with high stress situations calmly and effectively.
- Trustworthy, and with strong ethical orientation.
Reports Directly to: Assistant Security Director
Supervises: Security Guards
