Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Provide Immediate Medical Attention
- Administer first aid and basic medical care to employees during emergencies or workplace incidents.
- Respond promptly to accidents, injuries, and sudden illnesses within company premises.
Health Monitoring and Assessments
- Conduct routine health checks such as blood pressure monitoring, weight checks, and other vital signs.
- Assist in pre-employment medical exams and periodic health screenings.
Maintain Medical Records
- Keep accurate and confidential employee health records and incident reports.
- Monitor and update health and vaccination records as required.
Workplace Health and Safety
- Assist in implementing occupational health and safety policies.
- Identify potential health hazards in the workplace and recommend preventive measures.
Health Education and Wellness Programs
- Organize and lead health promotion campaigns (e.g., flu vaccination drives, wellness seminars).
- Educate employees on healthy practices, ergonomics, and disease prevention.
Coordinate with External Healthcare Providers
- Refer employees to hospitals or specialists when necessary.
- Liaise with company insurance providers regarding medical claims and benefits.
Inventory and Management of Medical Supplies
- Monitor, stock, and manage medical supplies and equipment in the clinic.
- Ensure that emergency medications and kits are readily available and up to date.
Administrative Functions
- Provide reports on health trends, absenteeism due to illness, and workplace incidents.
- Support the HR department in managing return-to-work protocols for injured or ill employees.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) .
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license
- Basic Occupational Health Nursing (BOSH) training or certification (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Certification is an advantage
- At least 1–2 years of work experience in an Industrial Setting
- Experience in occupational health, industrial nursing, or emergency response is an advantage.
Skills
- Strong clinical and assessment skills.
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Proficient in maintaining medical records and basic reports.
- Familiarity with workplace hazard identification and health surveillance.
