As a Company Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of employees within the organization. You will be responsible for providing medical assistance, promoting health and safety practices, and facilitating the overall wellness program.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid treatment to employees who are injured or become ill at work.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the company physician or authorized healthcare provider.
- Conduct initial assessments of employee injuries or illnesses and determine the appropriate course of action.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all employees, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Monitor and manage the inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
- Collaborate with the HR department to implement health and wellness programs, including health screenings, vaccination drives, and health education seminars.
- Conduct regular health assessments and screenings for employees, identifying potential health risks and recommending preventive measures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on health-related concerns, including lifestyle management, stress management, and mental health awareness.
- Coordinate with external healthcare providers and medical facilities as needed for specialized treatment or services.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new medical treatments, and regulatory requirements related to occupational health and safety.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Valid and current license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous experience in occupational health, employee health management, or related field preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to provide immediate and effective medical care in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines and other relevant legislation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive medical information with discretion.
- Proficient in computer applications for maintaining medical records and generating reports.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- CPR and first aid certification may be required.
- Willingness to undergo additional training or certification as required by the organization.
