- Coordinate with the Project Engineers the task according to priorities and plans.
- In charge of scheduling and monitoring of manpower
- Assign daily responsibilities to workers.
- Supervise and train the workers including the use of equipment and tools.
- Resolve problems when they arise and discuss with Project Engineers.
- Report progress of the site to the Project Engineers.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with contractors to ensure quality projects are delivered on time.
- Handle creation of job duties and delegate tasks to construction workers
- Create and monitor schedules for each worker and ensure that he has the physical and mental ability to cope
- Ensure accuracy of work orders prior to handing them out and make sure that time efficiency is taken into account
- Make sure that work sites are cleaned and cleared of any hazardous materials prior to the beginning of a construction project
- Brief construction workers about how daily tasks need to be carried out
- Check availability of machinery and tools are available to the workers and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance
- Perform inspections to ensure that the worker's performance is up to the set standards
- Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the Project Engineer
- Handle onsite incidents and emergencies in a proactive manner
Job Factors:
- Construction schedule is on Monday - Saturday, 7:00AM - 4:00PM, may be required to work on Sundays and holidays
- Stationed in a construction site away from Davao City (e.g. Davao Oriental), lodging in a bunkhouse on site
Qualifications:
- At least 3-5 years experience as General Foreman.
- At least 3-5 years experience in the construction industry, preferably all onsite
- Willing to be assigned anywhere at Davao
