This role is key to driving growth and operational excellence, with a focus on both commercial performance and strategic network expansion. The ideal candidate will use data analysis, business intelligence, and urban planning insights to support critical business decisions. You’ll play a central role in identifying new growth opportunities, optimizing the existing network, and ensuring the commercial sustainability of operations—while also leading efforts to secure new locations in partnership with municipal governments.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Analyze commercial performance data to identify trends, patterns, and key drivers impacting business outcomes, particularly in relation to network performance and profitability.
- Leverage an understanding of demographics, maps, and geography to support the business in finding new locations and network growth.
- Identify, locate, and determine optimal places for placing cars through analysis of network performance, utilizing tools such as Google Maps and demographic data.
- Submit applications with Councils (municipal governments) to apply for areas where new car spaces can be established.
- Understand Council policy to optimize where applications for new council spaces are made.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics using BI tools like Looker (Google version for PowerBI), with a focus on sales, revenue, profitability, and market share.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Space and Finance) to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable insights and reporting solutions.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and deep dives to support strategic initiatives and address specific business questions related to both commercial performance and network growth.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains to optimize commercial performance and operational delivery.
- Stay current on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform business strategies and decision-making for both commercial operations and network expansion.
- Enhance operational delivery by cutting through complexity, clearly prioritizing and communicating with relevant stakeholders, and focusing on simplifying and improving the entire cycle from space identification to vehicle delivery.
What we are looking for:
- Experience as a Business Analyst with a strong focus on commercial performance analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis and visualization using BI tools (e.g., Looker).
- Experience in planning, mapping, council relations, or a transport background.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros.
- Some experience with mapping software would be highly regarded (e.g., Google Maps, ArcGIS).
- Good understanding of commercial concepts and strong commercial acumen for decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and uncertain environment.
