Excis is a global IT services company, headquartered in the United
Kingdom. We are now looking to recruit a Service Transition Manager to join our
Cairo team to look after one of our large global clients.
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Service
Transition Manager to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible
for planning, coordinating, and managing the seamless transition of IT services
from development into operational support. You’ll ensure that all aspects of
service delivery — including people, processes, and technologies — are aligned
and ready for successful implementation.

Key Responsilbilities:
- Lead the end-to-end service
transition process for IT projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and
service standards.
- Develop and execute
comprehensive transition plans, including risk management, communication
strategies, training, and handover activities.
- Coordinate and lead service
acceptance reviews to validate operational readiness.
- Collaborate with project
managers, service owners, development teams, and operations to ensure go-live
readiness.
- Lead and guide internal teams
including Project Managers, Coordinators, and technical staff, ensuring
alignment and effective collaboration.
- Monitor team performance
against quality, service level, and cost KPIs.
- Support recruitment and
onboarding of new engineers and transition team members.
- Own and manage P&L
responsibilities for assigned transitions.
- Identify opportunities to grow
revenue through service enhancements and performance improvements.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL
standards and contribute to continual service improvement efforts.
- Explore and implement
innovative processes and technologies to drive commercial value.
- Ensure all operational
documentation and support materials are complete and accessible.
- Track transition progress,
report on key milestones, and resolve issues as they arise.
- Identify and mitigate risks
related to service deployment and handover.
- Maintain strong relationships
with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in IT
services, with significant exposure to global service transitions.
- Strong project management
skills with knowledge of Microsoft Project and MS Office tools.
- Proven experience in building
and managing global IT project teams across multicultural environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills – must be able to communicate effectively with both
technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and
capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of ITIL
practices; certifications are a plus.
- Commercial and financial
awareness within IT service delivery and program management.
- Comfortable working flexible
hours, including occasional evenings and weekends to support global time zones.
- Preference will be given to
candidates who possess a strong technical background in IT, along with a
recognized Project Management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
