Job Purpose:
Assist the OM in all matters pertaining to ARMCO operations, focusing on but not limited to- fleet maintenance to ensure optimum operational performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve optimum performance of all trucks and its immediate availability through maintenance.
- Lead in the technical assessment of vehicle's condition together with his technical team. Recommend to the OM, repair and maintenance activities needed to keep the vehicle in optum condition. Assess and recommend needed parts and materials to conduct repair and maintenance.
- In tandem with the Head Dispatcher, schedule the periodicity of maintenance with minimal or no effect in regular operations. Perform regular routine check-up / technical assessment of trucks and other vehicles, before use/ loading, after use/ loading, and upon return from deliveries. Recommend check list and/or forms to record such technical assessment. Keep complete records of technical assessment for traceability and historical reference.
- Supervises the maintenance technicians and 3rd party technical service providers. Evaluates the technical capabilities of maintenance technicians and 3rd party service providers. Submit recommendations to the OM for processing and final decision.
- In tandem with the Head Dispatcher, assess the safety condition of trucks and service vehicles. In case of conflict of decision making between the dispatcher and the fleet head, OM's decison shall be consulted and shall be final.
- Act as the safety and pollution officer of the fleet operations.
- With the team of technicians, conduct on-site and off-site repair and "rescue missions" as needed.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of materials inventory needed in the performance of repair and maintenance services. Submit regular reports basis for materials and stocks replenishments. Communicates with the OM and/or assigned Admin Assistant on parts and materials procurements.
- In tandem with the Admin Assistant and the Head Dispatcher, Assist in the monitoring of registration renewal, conduct emission testing of vehicles, and produce other needed documents for the renewal of registration,
- Perform other office and field duties/ assignments as directed by the OM.
- Perform other job-related functions as may be assigned by the OM.
QUALIFICATION/S:
- Graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering / Bachelor's or technical degree in automotive related courses.
- Preferably NCII Grad Mechanic
- Professional license: Safety/ pollution Control Officer
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in trucking operations, with responsibilities in supervision of technicians and repairs of trucks.

Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month
