Job Summary:
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment. This includes maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills, with a proven track record in inventory control within the FMCG sector.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Control & Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using appropriate inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize stock loss, damage, and obsolescence.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and minimize carrying costs.
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) to ensure product freshness and minimize waste.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Supervise and manage a team of warehouse staff, assigning tasks, providing training, and monitoring performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to maximize efficiency and space utilization.
- Manage and maintain warehouse equipment and supplies.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate regular inventory reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) such as stock turnover, accuracy rates, and storage costs.
- Analyze inventory data to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to optimize inventory management processes.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., purchasing, sales) to ensure accurate demand forecasting and efficient inventory planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in inventory management within the FMCG industry.
- Proven experience supervising and managing a team.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and techniques (e.g., FIFO, FEFO, ABC analysis).
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems (SAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with warehouse management software and RF scanning technology (preferred).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php23,000.00 - Php28,000.00 per month
