Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage and rotation
- Monitor kitchen costs and contribute to budget planning and cost control
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure staff adherence
- Responsible for reporting any Kitchen Equipment concerns to service providers
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to kitchen operations or staffing
- Conduct regular kitchen inspections and audits
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries
- Lead by example, fostering a positive, respectful, and safety-conscious kitchen environment
- Work hand-in-hand with and be accountable in reporting to the Facilities Manager and Director of Operations regarding any critical issues requiring urgent resolution
Job Requirements:
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Proficiency in kitchen equipment, tools, and inventory systems
- Certification in food handling or safety is a plus
