As Sales Head, your primary role is to accelerate the growth of sales and provide leadership over the sales division. You are to shape the sales organization and scale revenues to the next level. Since this is a data-driven role that requires a deep understanding of the consumer based competitive market and commercial acumen, you are expected to have a deep understanding of such, and create GTM and RTM strategies that is aligned with the plans of the company. As Sales Head, you will be directly reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer and will be required to submit reports directly to the Executive Committee.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Plans, Establish and Maintains sales objectives and strategies by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products that will meet the company’s goals and targets.
- Examine growth opportunities, enabling sales improvements, product mix development and taking responsibility for the department’s performance against targets.
- Establish and oversee the adoption of the key vision and values of the division. Implement sales strategies that further the division’s agenda and drive an enhanced revenue generation for the business.
- Qualify and increase the number of distributors aligned with the plans and requirements of the company.
- Create a nationwide distribution by leading the general trade team and modern trade team members to achieve sales targets.
- Manages the division’s calendar with regards to distribution priorities and campaign activities to maximize sales opportunities. Leads the team in negotiating and closing agreements with other modern trade accounts.
- Implements national sales programs by developing field sales action plans that will meet the company’s goals and sales targets through new client acquisition, repeat business and client renewal.
- Maintains sales volume by tracking changing trends, economic indicators, competitors and supply and demand.
- Completes national sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results.
- Act as the key liaison between the company and its distributors or buyers. Maintaining the current trade and institutional partners through regular visits / communications.
- Develops procedures for contacting and qualifying leads, updating prospect information, and competitive analysis.
- Performs and assists all other tasks and duties that are not stipulated on this document but assigned by your superior or required by the company.
Qualifications
- Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a relevant field
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, in the same food industry (preferably ice cream) as Manager or Head.
- Specific Skills: In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices,
- Excellent leadership skills, Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, and organizational skills and possess a good leadership style.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Strong in attention to detail and accuracy.
