Role Overview
The network engineer is responsible for providing internal and external client support for BTCS production infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Assist with the implementation of the Network Project Deployment Plans and Operational support
Implement network configuration for client connectivity and troubleshoot end to end client connectivity issues.
Maintains regional network systems, as needed, and provides off-hours coverage via mobile/remote access as necessary
Ensure the accuracy of network inventory, circuit inventory and network diagrams
Management of network vendors and carriers to ensure their services can fulfil our SLA
Your Profile
Over 5 years of experience in similar role (candidates with less experience will be considered as Junior Network Engineer)
Experience/certification with Cisco equipment, F-5 load balancers, NetScout, Juniper
Knowledge of Network Monitoring and Management tools
Experience supporting large scale Enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructures using Cisco hardware.
Network protocols – BGP, OSPF, HSRP, IPSEC, GRE, 802.11, QoS, IGMP, PIM etc.
Network Platforms - Cisco, Juniper, F5, Netscout
OSI – TCP/IP stack
Network monitoring – HO OpenView, Nagios, CACTI, SNMP
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, information systems, or another related field OR equivalent work experience
Possess a solid understanding of the technologies, communications protocols, OSI model.
Cisco CCNA/CCNP qualification
Must be able to speak, read and write primarily in the English language.
Experience working in a global operational network team is strongly desired
Experience in the financial or fintech industry is a plus
