Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will oversee the deployment and performance of field merchandisers assigned to FMCG clients. As a direct hire of the third-party agency, this role serves as the key point of contact with the client’s Merchandising Manager and is responsible for ensuring that merchandising operations meet client expectations, service-level agreements, and execution standards across all assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage daily field operations of third-party merchandisers assigned to FMCG clients.
· Act as the primary liaison between the agency and the client’s Merchandising Manager to align on deployment, execution priorities, and issue resolution.
· Prepare and execute deployment plans based on store coverage requirements, sales cycles, and trade initiatives.
· Monitor and report on field performance, compliance to planograms, stock availability, and promotional execution.
· Ensure timely submission of daily and weekly reports, including attendance, store visits, and coverage tracking.
· Conduct regular field audits to assess merchandiser performance and identify areas for coaching or corrective action.
· Collaborate with the client on manpower adjustments based on campaign loads, store performance, or seasonal needs.
· Lead onboarding, training, and development of new merchandisers in coordination with the HR team.
· Address operational concerns raised by the client and implement timely corrective actions.
· Maintain high service levels and ensure all field activities comply with client standards and company policies.
· Monitor and control operational costs, particularly related to manpower and logistics.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
· At least 3–5 years of experience in merchandising or operations within a third-party staffing or field marketing agency.
· Experience interfacing with client-side managers or account stakeholders is required.
· Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
· Familiarity with FMCG operations, retail environments, and merchandising execution.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
· Able to travel for store visits, field audits, and client coordination as needed.
