About the role: The Payroll Governance & Compliance Data Analytics Analyst is a key leader within the Global Payroll Governance and Compliance Team, playing a critical role in driving advanced payroll analytics and reporting initiatives across multiple regions. Reporting directly to the Manager of Payroll Governance, this individual contributor will serve as the domain expert, providing guidance and leadership to HR Operations - Payroll and cross-functional teams. The Data Analytics Analyst will take ownership of optimizing global payroll data pipelines, developing and refining payroll dashboards, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. With a strong focus on delivering actionable insights, resolving data anomalies, and enhancing reporting capabilities, this role requires advanced analytical expertise, technical leadership, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. The Analyst will play a key role in improving data-driven decision-making, driving continuous process improvements, and ensuring compliance with global payroll data standards across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Enhance Dashboards: Lead the creation and continuous improvement of intuitive global payroll dashboards using tools like Tableau and Power BI to deliver clear, actionable insights.
- Optimize Data Pipelines: Consolidate and refine global payroll data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency across regions and systems.
- Resolve Data Issues: Identify, analyze, and resolve complex payroll data anomalies and issues through root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
- Deliver Strategic Insights: Provide senior leadership with data-driven reports to support decision-making, while ensuring compliance with global privacy and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, IT) and integrate additional data sources using SQL and Microsoft tools, staying current on trends in payroll analytics.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Bachelor’s Degree holder
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics & Reporting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
- In-depth knowledge of Data Analysis and hands-on experience with business intelligence & data visualization tools, such as Tableau and/or PowerBI.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Data Warehouse management, with experience working on system integrations and multiple HR/payroll platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday) preferred.
- Relevant certifications in data analytics (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), or similar) are preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with HR and Payroll Concepts
